Medusa is a Gorgon who was once very beautiful, so beautiful that she was violated by Poseidon and as punishment, Athena turned her hair to venomous snakes, and made her so ugly that her gaze turned others to stone. Medusa was killed by Perseus who was armed with just about any weapon and armor the gods could give him.
Abilities
She has venomous snakes for hair that can act on their own accord. She can also turn people to stone when she meets someone's gaze.

Medusa was very beautiful, so beautiful that Poseidon felt the need to violate her in the temple of Athena. So that it might not go unpunished, Athena changed her hair to terrifying snakes and turned her ugly.

The Fight
The two stand far from each other, unaware of where the other is to start. The striga, with knowledge of what it is facing, turns into Hedwig, and finds Medusa, landing nearby, shifting back to striga form, and then turning invisible, the striga sneaks up on Medusa. Meanwhile, Medusa begins yelling for the striga in order to make eye contact. When the striga approaches Medusa, the snake hair detects it, causing Medusa to notice. Fearing the snakes and her gaze, the striga finds a long stick, and runs to spear her. Avoiding her eyes, and with a long enough stick, the striga can overpower Medusa and spear it while avoiding the snakes and stares.
Addendum Fight: If it was day time, then Medusa would win because the striga would die from the sun.
Winner: Striga.
